Statement of Faith & Community Standards

FaithOnline is a private, Christ-centered community built upon our Statement of Faith. When you accept the FaithOnline policies at signup, described in Section 2 of the Terms of Service, you agree that your conduct, posts, and interactions will align with and respect these foundational beliefs and our Community Standards. Content that contradicts or undermines these standards may be removed, as described in Section 9 below and in the Terms of Service.

Who publishes this document. Faith Online LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, operates the FaithOnline Platform and publishes this Statement of Faith & Community Standards. FaithOnline is its brand name. Assent to the Statement of Faith is a condition precedent to creating an account and using the Platform under Section 5 of the Terms of Service, so this is one of the documents you accept at signup. Age Requirement. FaithOnline is intended for users age 13 and older. We may restrict, suspend, or remove accounts that do not meet age requirements, in accordance with the Terms of Service.

This document contains three parts: Part I — Statement of Faith; Part II — Community Standards (including the section for members who publish content and the Music & Media Content section); and Part III — Scriptural Position Statements. The Terms of Service incorporate this document by reference.

Part I — Statement of Faith

FaithOnline is a private Christian community rooted in Scripture. We affirm the Bible as the inspired, fully trustworthy, and supreme Word of God, sufficient on its own for our faith and practice, and we hold to one God in three Persons with salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Concise version | We believe:

  • The Bible is the inspired, fully trustworthy, and supreme Word of God, sufficient on its own for our faith and practice. Scripture, not tradition, culture, or personal experience, is our final authority. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
  • In one God, eternally existing in three equally divine persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 3:16-17; 2 Cor. 13:14)
  • Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father (John 1:1-3; Matt. 1:23; 2 Cor. 5:21; Matt. 28:6)
  • Mankind is created in God's image, but sin has broken that image, bringing separation from God, death, and a desperate need for salvation (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:23; Rom. 6:23)
  • In salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone––not by works (Eph. 2:8-9)
  • In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost––the saved to eternity in God's presence and the lost to eternity separated from God in hell (Matt. 25:46; Rev. 21:1-4)
  • The church is the Body of Christ that spiritually unites all believers together (1 Cor. 12:12-14)
  • In the Great Commission - to make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19-20)
  • In the Great Commandment - to love God and love others (Matt. 22:36-40)
  • In the personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ in glory, the final judgment, and the renewal of all things (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 21:1-5).

Detailed version:

  • We believe the Bible (the 66 books of the Old and New Testament) is the inspired, fully trustworthy, and supreme Word of God, sufficient on its own for our faith and practice. Scripture, not tradition, culture, or personal experience, is our final authority for faith and life. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
  • We believe in the one, true God who eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the triune Godhead is equal in divine nature, power, and glory, having the same attributes and perfections. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 3:16-17; 2 Cor. 13:14)
  • We believe in Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man, the second person of the Trinity, God the Son. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect and sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of God the Father, where He currently reigns over creation and is our High Priest and Intercessor. We believe in his teachings, miracles, and seek to walk in obedience to his commands. (John 1:1-3; Matt. 1:23; 2 Cor. 5:21; Matt. 28:6)
  • We believe all mankind is created by God and created in his image. Humanity's original purpose and design was to live under the authority of God and reflect his image to all creation. Man rejected God's authority and chose sin. Sin has broken the image of God in us and has brought us separation from God, death, and a desperate need for salvation. (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:23; Rom. 6:23)
  • We believe that salvation from sin and its consequences (death and wrath) only comes by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is a free gift of God's grace, received through faith and not earned by works. There is no other hope or path for salvation. The results of salvation through faith in Jesus are forgiveness of sins, regeneration, the gift of the Holy Spirit, adoption into God's family, and eternal life in the perfect presence of God. (Eph. 2:8-9; John 14:6)
  • We believe in the resurrection and eternal state of both the saved and the lost. The saved spend eternity in the perfect presence of God, dwelling with him in the New Heavens and New Earth. The lost are rightly judged and held accountable for their sins and unbelief, and will spend eternity separated from God in hell. (Matt. 25:46; Rev. 20:4-15; Rev. 21:1-4)
  • We believe the church, the Body of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again believers across the globe. (1 Cor. 12:12-14)
  • We believe in the Great Commission, that all believers are called by Jesus to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing new believers, and teaching them to obey all that Jesus commands. (Matt. 28:19-20)
  • We believe in the Great Commandment: we are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. (Matt. 22:36-40)
  • In the personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ in glory, the final judgment, and the renewal of all things (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 21:1-5).

Part II — Community Standards

FaithOnline is a space that honors Christ, built on Scripture, mutual respect, and genuine fellowship. We expect members to engage with grace and truth, and to honor our full Community Standards. By joining, members agree to engage in alignment with our Statement of Faith and these Community Standards.

Our Foundation

FaithOnline is a Gospel-centered, community-led Christian platform connecting devoted believers with Scripture-grounded teaching, edifying content, and authentic connection for daily faith formation. FaithOnline exists to help believers form around Scripture-grounded teaching, connect in meaningful fellowship, and grow in their faith daily.

1. Core Values

These values shape how we show up — for God and for one another:

  • Biblical Truth: We uphold Scripture from an evangelical perspective as our foundation
  • Christ-Centered Living: Our words, actions, and content should reflect Jesus
  • Love & Respect: Every person is treated with dignity, regardless of where they are in their faith journey
  • Humility: We share with conviction, not superiority
  • Authenticity: We choose lived faith over performative expression
  • Growth: We create space for learning, questioning, and spiritual maturity

2. Christ-Centered Engagement

We are called to build up — not tear down.

  • Keep all interactions edifying, respectful, and rooted in Scripture
  • Disagree with grace — challenge ideas without attacking individuals
  • No harassment, hate speech, or condemning language
  • Do not weaponize Scripture to shame, control, or elevate oneself
  • Be mindful of tone — digital conversations require extra care and clarity

3. Faith Expression & Biblical Alignment

Clarity and unity matter in a faith-based space.

  • We uphold biblical truth from an evangelical perspective
  • Keep conversations anchored in Scripture, with thoughtful context when shared
  • Respect differences on interpretive topics — such as worship style, spiritual gifts, or eschatology — while remaining united in the core beliefs of the faith
  • Avoid presenting personal interpretation as absolute or universally binding
  • Reject manipulation tactics — faith should never rely on guilt-driven engagement (ex: "share this or you're ashamed of God")
  • Members are expected to engage in alignment with both the Statement of Faith and the Scriptural Position Statements.

This commitment extends to both our Statement of Faith (Part I) and our Scriptural Position Statements (Part III), which together form the doctrinal foundation members agree to engage in alignment with.

4. Authenticity Over Performance

Faith is something we live, not something we stage.

  • Choose authenticity over performance
  • Avoid posting for validation, attention, or spiritual comparison
  • Encourage honesty, testimony, and real-life faith journeys
  • No solicitation for monetary profit or personal gain
  • This is a reciprocal space where we aim for members to pour into and receive from community

5. Care & Well-Being

This is a space where people will show up vulnerably, so we handle that with care.

  • No exploitation of individuals emotionally, spiritually, or financially
  • Do not promote harmful, misleading, or non-biblical practices as truth
  • Encourage seeking qualified professional help for mental health, medical, or crisis-related needs
  • Create a culture of support; not dependency or control

6. Content Standards

To protect the integrity of the community:

Encouraged Content:

  • Scripture, reflections, teachings, and everyday life
  • Testimonies and personal faith journeys
  • Prayer requests and encouragement
  • Thoughtful, respectful discussion

Not Permitted

In addition to the standards above, members may not post, request, or promote:

  • Content that contradicts Scripture or materially conflicts with our Statement of Faith
  • Sexual content, nudity, partial nudity, pornography, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive material, or exploitation of any kind, including content that is immodest or intended to draw sexual attention. This includes, without limitation: underwear or lingerie, see-through clothing, swimwear or bikini-style content, shirtless or bare-torso content, sexually suggestive posing, and workout or fitness content where attire is excessively revealing (for example, sports-bra-only content or underwear-like shorts) or where framing emphasizes the body over the activity.
  • Threats of violence, incitement, or content that promotes, encourages, glorifies, or instructs self-harm or harm to others
  • Harassment, hate speech, or hateful conduct targeting individuals or groups
  • Illegal activity or instructions to facilitate illegal activity (including the buying, selling, or promotion of illegal drugs or weapons)
  • Graphic violence, gore, or shock content
  • Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors
  • Doxxing or sharing private or confidential personal information about others (including addresses, phone numbers, private communications, workplace details, or identifying information shared without permission)
  • Fraud, scams, deceptive practices, spam, or unauthorized solicitation
  • Impersonation of any person, church, ministry, organization, or brand
  • Content primarily focused on electoral politics, partisan campaigning, candidates, or political parties, including (without limitation) campaign endorsements or opposition, electioneering, political fundraising, partisan advocacy, calls to political action regarding electoral outcomes, or content primarily intended to influence elections or political party affiliation. Biblical or theological commentary on moral, ethical, or public-policy issues is permitted to the extent it remains rooted in Scripture and consistent with our Statement of Faith and Scriptural Position Statements. FaithOnline determines, in good faith and consistent with our religious mission, whether specific content falls within the prohibition or within the permitted scope of biblical and theological commentary.

Modesty standards apply equally to everyone. These modesty standards apply to all members, regardless of gender. Enforcement considers both the content shown and the intent, framing, and overall effect of the post.

We encourage members to report content that harms the community or violates these standards.

7. Members Who Publish Content

Some members publish content for the wider community. Everything in these Community Standards applies to them as it applies to everyone. This section adds what applies because their work is published to others, carries teaching weight, and reaches people who did not choose it post by post.

There is no separate creator agreement. Accepting these Community Standards is what carries the expectations in this section, including editorial review.

This section applies to published content, meaning the long-form written pieces, the long-form audio, and the long-form video created by members FaithOnline has approved to publish. FaithOnline calls those members Formation voices, and this is the section that governs the role. Everything else a member shares is governed by Sections 1 through 6, including anything in the stream, testimonies, prayer requests, posts, comments, and direct messages.

Becoming a Formation voice starts with an application. FaithOnline vets applicants through that process and approves the ones it accepts for the role. Once you are approved, you submit your content through Scroll, FaithOnline's own publisher, and it is reviewed before it appears. Section 7.1 sets out what that review covers and how it is conducted.

7.1 Editorial review

Content published to the community goes through editorial review before publication. Review is conducted by FaithOnline's designated theological and editorial reviewers, our Content Advisors, against the Statement of Faith (Part I), these Community Standards, and the Scriptural Position Statements (Part III).

Content that does not yet meet these standards is returned to you to clarify or correct, or is declined. FaithOnline does not edit your work; you make any changes. Members who publish agree to participate in editorial review in good faith. Review is a condition of publication, and content may be declined.

Review method depends on format. Written drafts are reviewed through inline editorial feedback. Audio and video drafts are reviewed through timestamped feedback on the submitted file or on a shared review link. You agree to participate in good faith whichever format your content takes.

7.2 Editorial standards for published content

Content published on FaithOnline will be:

  • Doctrinally aligned: consistent with the Statement of Faith and the Scriptural Position Statements. Core doctrines affirmed or left unaddressed, never contradicted.
  • Scripturally sound: Scripture quoted accurately, in context, from a translation listed in 7.4, supporting only claims the text actually makes. For audio and video content, Scripture references may be cited verbally, shown on screen, or noted in the caption or description, at your discretion and in consultation with a Content Advisor where needed.
  • Gracious in tone and posture: truth communicated with humility and charity, engaging differing evangelical views respectfully, with no mockery, hostility, or personal attacks on other believers.
  • Clear and well-framed: appropriately nuanced and unlikely to mislead, handling theological complexity accessibly without distortion.

We do not require published content to point toward any particular outcome beyond these standards. Your voice and your specific calling within the content categories in 7.7 are the contribution we asked you to make.

7.3 Additional prohibited content for published work

Everything in Section 6 applies. Because published content carries further, members who publish also may not create, post, or promote:

  • Christian nationalism, or any content promoting political nationalism conflated with Christian identity
  • Teachings inconsistent with the Statement of Faith or the Scriptural Position Statements, or appearing on the Unbiblical Theology List maintained by FaithOnline's Content Advisors
  • Rage bait, meaning content optimized for outrage rather than edification
  • Content that exists primarily to provoke, divide, or generate attention rather than to build up the Body of Christ
  • Hyper-partisan framing on cultural issues
  • Combative theology, meaning content that prosecutes other Christians rather than addressing ideas
  • Clickbait spirituality, meaning content that uses spiritual themes as a hook without theological substance

This list is in addition to, not instead of, the Not Permitted list in Section 6. Content violating either list may result in removal, suspension, or loss of publishing access under Section 9.

For clarity, biblical or theological commentary on moral, ethical, or public-policy issues is permitted to the extent it remains rooted in Scripture and consistent with our Statement of Faith and Scriptural Position Statements. FaithOnline determines, in good faith and consistent with our religious mission, whether specific content falls within this permitted scope.

7.4 Bible translations for citation

Biblical citations in published content should come from a translation, not a paraphrase.

Approved for citation: ESV, NIV, NASB, CSB, NKJV, KJV, NLT.

Requires a Content Advisor consult before use: The Passion Translation (TPT), The Message (MSG), The Voice, The Living Bible (TLB), The Cotton Patch Version, CEV, and NRSV.

If you want to cite from a translation on neither list, consult a Content Advisor before publishing. FaithOnline may update these lists with reasonable notice.

For audio and video content, the translation may be named verbally, shown on screen, or given in the caption or description, at your discretion. A Content Advisor is available to consult on how to present it in a given format.

This citation list governs Scripture quoted in published content. It is separate from the translations offered in the app's in-product Bible feature, and it neither limits nor describes what that feature makes available for reading.

7.5 Disclosure of AI use

If you use generative AI tools, including large language models, image generators, voice synthesis tools, or video generators, in creating any content you submit for publication, you must disclose that use in both of the following ways:

  • Privately to FaithOnline at the time you submit the content, identifying which tools you used and for what purpose.
  • Publicly to your audience, in a visible and unambiguous manner.

For purposes of the private disclosure, AI use includes the following use types, each of which must be identified separately:

  • Ideation or inspiration: using AI to generate topic ideas, outlines, or thematic prompts
  • Drafting: using AI to produce a first draft or substantial portion of written content
  • Editing or grammar assistance: using AI to refine, restructure, or correct existing human-authored text
  • Image generation: using AI to create or substantially alter visual assets
  • Voice synthesis: using AI to generate, clone, or alter a vocal performance, including your own voice
  • Video generation: using AI to produce, animate, or substantially alter video content
  • Translation or transcription: using AI to convert spoken or written content across languages or formats

If your use does not clearly fit one category, disclose the closest applicable type and describe the use briefly in your submission note to FaithOnline.

Public disclosure takes at least one of these forms:

  • A caption tag at the top of written content (for example, "Drafted with the assistance of [tool], reviewed and finalized by [name]")
  • On-screen text visible during the first ten seconds of video content
  • A stated audio disclosure at the beginning of audio content
  • A pinned note on social media reposts of FaithOnline content

You may not present AI-generated content as fully human-authored.

Undisclosed use of generative AI is grounds for immediate removal of the content. Repeated undisclosed use is grounds for termination of publishing access and of the account.

We permit the responsible, disclosed use of generative AI. We hold that audience trust depends on transparency. FaithOnline may update this section and may specify approved or restricted tools by separate notice.

Transparency here is a stewardship of the trust your audience has placed in you as a faith-based voice, not only a Platform requirement.

We distinguish between AI that assists human authorship and AI that replaces it. Content in which AI has substantially authored the theological substance, meaning the interpretation, the pastoral application, or the doctrinal claims, raises particular concerns on a platform built around faithful formation. We reserve the right to flag such content through the editorial review process in 7.1 whether or not you met the disclosure requirements above. That is a separate ground from a disclosure failure, and either one stands on its own.

7.6 Images

Members who publish may use only images they own outright, or stock images supplied by FaithOnline. Nothing else.

Where an image is published, the source and author fields must be accurate, and they must not be overwritten, blanked, or replaced with other attribution.

You remain responsible for holding the rights to everything you publish, including images, and for ensuring it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

7.7 Content categories

FaithOnline organizes published content around seven Formation Pillars, which aim to reach every aspect of life through the lens of biblical faith:

  • Theology: apologetics, defending the faith, Christian doctrine, Trinity, atonement, systematic theology, church history
  • Character and Spiritual Formation: spiritual growth, sanctification, prayer, Bible reading practices, ethics, spiritual practices, unity
  • Culture and Society: media, entertainment, cultural trends and conversations, music, fashion, technology and AI, food, travel
  • Global Church: testimony, evangelism, global movements, missions, persecution, news from the Body of Christ
  • Relationship and Community: parenting, marriage, godly dating, singleness, friendship, family, loss and grief
  • Vocation: education, workplace, business, entrepreneurship, leadership, finances and money stewardship, calling
  • Storytelling: personal reflections, testimony, purpose and calling, creative non-fiction, essays, poems

You may contribute within more than one Pillar, with Content Advisor consultation where appropriate. FaithOnline may update the Pillars and their sub-topics with reasonable notice.

7.8 Independent status

Members who publish on FaithOnline do so as Formation voices. You are not an employee, agent, partner, joint venturer, or representative of FaithOnline, and nothing in these Community Standards creates an employment relationship, partnership, or fiduciary duty. You and FaithOnline are independent parties.

FaithOnline does not require exclusivity.

7.9 Publishing elsewhere

You are free to publish your content on other platforms at the same time you publish with us, and you may republish your FaithOnline content on your own channels and elsewhere at your discretion, subject to:

  • Attribution where the content originated on FaithOnline, where reasonably feasible. For audio and video content, attribution may appear in the show notes, the video description, or verbally at the start or end of the piece.
  • Not representing that FaithOnline endorses content you publish on other platforms beyond your own content
  • Not using FaithOnline's marks, branding, or platform identity in a misleading way

We encourage this. Broader reach for your message serves the mission.

7.10 Ongoing alignment

Members are approved to publish on the basis of theological soundness, biblical rootedness, a credible profession of faith, a public track record free of manipulation tactics, prosperity-style monetization, and politicized religious identity including Christian nationalism, genuine and edifying engagement with an audience rather than engagement-bait, and a posture of service to the Body of Christ rather than clout-seeking.

Alignment is assessed on an ongoing basis, not only at onboarding. FaithOnline may re-evaluate a member's fit to publish at any time. Material changes in your public conduct, your theological positions, or your content practices that move you out of alignment with these standards may result in loss of publishing access, suspension, or termination under Section 9.

This extends to conduct on and off the Platform, to the extent that conduct is inconsistent with the standards you hold out to the community as a member who publishes here.

7.11 How FaithOnline may use what you publish

The long-form work you publish on FaithOnline as a Formation voice may appear in FaithOnline's own advertising, including paid placements FaithOnline buys on Instagram, Facebook, and other services. Deleting a piece of content stops it being used in new placements.

The license itself is in Section 7 of the Terms of Service, under "License You Grant to FaithOnline," and that is the operative text. This summary is here so that a member reading only this document is not surprised by it:

  • FaithOnline may feature, promote, and advertise your published content and the Platform on its own surfaces, meaning the Platform itself, faith.online, FaithOnline's own social media accounts, and FaithOnline's email to members.
  • FaithOnline may also use your published Formation content in paid placements it buys on third-party services, including social platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and other Meta properties. That means your long-form written pieces, your long-form audio, and your long-form video, published as a Formation voice. FaithOnline may use an excerpt, a clip, or the whole piece. It does not ask you separately each time.
  • Paid advertising reaches those three formats and nothing else. Anything in the stream, testimonies, prayer requests, posts, comments, and direct messages are ordinary member content rather than Formation content, and they are not used in FaithOnline's paid advertising, whatever surface they appear on. Section 7 of the Terms of Service states that as a commitment to every member. It applies to your own content the same way it applies to theirs.
  • FaithOnline will not use your published content to advertise products, services, or organizations other than FaithOnline.
  • FaithOnline will not use your name, likeness, or image to promote products, services, or causes unrelated to your own content without your prior written consent.
  • Use of your name, username, likeness, or image in a general FaithOnline campaign, meaning marketing about FaithOnline itself rather than about your content, needs your permission for each item. That permission is given through a "feature my content" choice, which does not exist in the product yet.
  • Deleting a piece of content stops FaithOnline using it in new placements. A paid placement already running cannot be pulled back.

8. Unity in Essentials, Grace in Differences

We are not called to uniformity, but to unity.

  • We welcome believers of all backgrounds who are seeking to grow in their faith and live a life devoted to Christ
  • We show respect to denominational and cultural differences within the Christian faith
  • We remain unified in core Gospel truths while extending grace in non-essential doctrines

9. Leadership, Moderation, & Accountability

FaithOnline reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove content, limit visibility, restrict features, or restrict access to enforce these standards and protect the integrity, safety, and spiritual health of the community. We may take appropriate action when content indicates imminent harm or illegal activity, including restricting access and cooperating with lawful requests as required.

Healthy communities require clear and consistent leadership.

Reporting Concerns. Members can report content or behavior using the in-app reporting tools available on posts, comments, and profiles. For matters that cannot be reported in-app, or for follow-up on a prior report, email support@faith.online with the subject line "Report."

Appeals. Members may appeal a moderation or enforcement decision by emailing support@faith.online with the subject line "Appeal" within thirty (30) days of the decision.

Where FaithOnline reviews an appeal, we review it in good faith and on its merits. This is a commitment to review the decision in good faith. It is not a guarantee of any particular outcome.

Account Changes and Deletion. Account management, including account deletion, is available in the app at Settings → Manage Account → Delete Account. Members may also email support@faith.online with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."

Published Content Is Different From Your Account. Members who publish do not currently have a way to unpublish or delete their own published content. Every removal of published content requires FaithOnline admin action, taken on request. Section 11 of the Terms of Service, under "Publishing Access, Departure, and Content Following Departure," says how and when we take that action, and what happens to your published content for thirty days after you stop publishing here.

General Questions. For all other questions about these standards, contact support@faith.online.

  • Moderation will be guided by Scripture, wisdom, and these standards
  • Violations may result in warnings, content removal, suspension, or account removal
  • Members have access to reporting tools to help protect the community

We may remove, hide, restrict the visibility of, or otherwise moderate content we determine, in good faith, conflicts with our Statement of Faith, Community Standards, or Terms of Service, or that is otherwise objectionable. Moderation decisions are guided by Scripture, wisdom, and these standards, and flow from FaithOnline's identity as a private Christian community.

10. Privacy & Trust

Faith conversations are often personal and sacred.

  • Respect the confidentiality of others' stories and experiences
  • Do not share private conversations without consent
  • We are committed to protecting user data and maintaining trust

11. Community Participation & Content Disclaimer

  • FaithOnline is a faith-based community platform intended to foster spiritual encouragement, connection, and fellowship.
  • Content shared on the platform reflects personal beliefs and community expression and is not intended as professional, pastoral, medical, legal, or psychological advice.
  • FaithOnline does not provide pastoral oversight, counseling, or crisis intervention services. Members remain responsible for their own decisions and actions.

  • We do not host or stream copyrighted music unless properly licensed
  • Music may be shared via links or embeds from third-party platforms that retain their own rights
  • Content decisions regarding music, artists, and styles will be guided by our mission to edify believers and avoid material that contradicts our Statement of Faith
  • Additional guidelines may evolve as the platform grows

This section applies to all users. The Terms of Service incorporate this Statement of Faith & Community Standards, including this Music & Media Content section, by reference.

Purpose

FaithOnline exists to foster a Christ-centered, respectful community. Music and media shared on the platform are intended to support spiritual encouragement, reflection, and community well-being, not entertainment without discernment.

Licensing & Intellectual Property

FaithOnline does not host, store, or stream copyrighted music or audio files unless explicitly licensed.

Music and media may be shared only through links or embedded players from third-party platforms that retain their own licensing and distribution rights.

Users are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate rights to any content they share. FaithOnline may remove content that raises copyright or licensing concerns and may restrict accounts for repeated violations, in accordance with the Terms of Service.

Content Boundaries

Music and media shared on FaithOnline:

  • Are not required to be explicitly labeled "Christian"
  • Must align with biblical values and the platform's Christ-centered mission
  • Must not glorify sin, promote sexual immorality, violence, substance abuse, or undermine biblical truth
  • Must not include harassment, hateful conduct, or political advocacy

Musical diversity is welcomed where content is edifying, respectful, and consistent with our Community Standards.

Short Clips & Excerpts

To protect the intellectual property of artists and creators, FaithOnline does not permit users to directly upload videos or audio files containing copyrighted background music, regardless of length. Short-form clips or excerpts containing copyrighted music are permitted only when embedded or linked from a licensed third-party platform (such as YouTube or Spotify) that retains its own licensing rights. Viral popularity does not alter this requirement.

Moderation & Enforcement

All music and media content is subject to review under FaithOnline's Community Standards and Terms of Service.

FaithOnline reserves the right to remove content, limit visibility, or restrict access at its sole discretion to protect the integrity, safety, and spiritual health of the community.

Policy Updates

Additional guidelines related to music and media content may be developed as platform features evolve and will be enforced in accordance with the Terms of Service.

DMCA and Copyright Enforcement

Music and media content is subject to the same Digital Millennium Copyright Act framework as all other user content on FaithOnline. To submit a copyright complaint, see the Copyright Complaints section of our Terms of Service. Repeat infringement is governed by the DMCA Repeat Infringer Policy in our Terms of Service.

Part III — Scriptural Position Statements

These positions build directly on the Statement of Faith in Part I. They state what this community believes and how we ask members to conduct themselves here, and they begin where Scripture begins, with every person made in the image of God.

Human Dignity. We believe that every human being is created in the image of God and possesses inherent worth, value, and dignity regardless of age, ability, race, ethnicity, or station in life. Racism, dehumanization, and any form of contempt toward another human being contradict the truth that all people bear God's image (Gen. 1:26-27; James 3:9-10; Gal. 3:28; Acts 17:26).

Marriage/Sexuality. We believe that God created the sacred institution of marriage as a lifelong covenantal relationship between one man and one woman. God's design for sex is to be enjoyed within the covenantal relationship of marriage (Gen. 2:24).

Gender. We believe that gender is God-given and rooted in one's biological sex. Gender is not self-defined or changeable. Both male and female were created in God's image (Gen. 1:26-27).

Sanctity of life. We believe that all human life is sacred because all people have been made in the image of God. Life begins at conception and should be protected as a gift from God (Gen. 1:26-27; Exod. 20:13; Psa 139:13-16).

Sexual Ethics. We believe that God created sex as a sacred gift to be enjoyed only within the covenantal relationship of marriage between one man and one woman. Sexual immorality of any kind — including fornication, adultery, pornography, lust, and sexually explicit content — is contrary to God's design for human flourishing (1 Cor. 6:18-20; Heb. 13:4; 1 Thess. 4:3-5; Matt. 5:27-28).

The Family. We believe that God designed the family as the foundational unit of society, with parents holding the primary responsibility for raising and discipling children in the ways of the Lord. Children are a gift from God, and parental authority is to be exercised with love, wisdom, and accountability to Scripture (Deut. 6:6-7; Eph. 6:1-4; Ps. 127:3; Prov. 22:6).

Salvation in Christ Alone. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, that no one comes to the Father except through Him, and that salvation cannot be earned through works, sincerity, or any other religious system. The exclusivity of Christ is not exclusion of persons but the unique and sufficient hope offered to all (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Tim. 2:5; Rom. 10:9-13; Eph. 2:8-9).

The Local Church. We believe that the local church is the visible expression of the Body of Christ, established by Jesus for worship, teaching, fellowship, accountability, and mission. While FaithOnline supports spiritual formation in digital community, it does not replace the local church. Believers are called to active participation in a local body of believers (1 Cor. 12:12-14; Heb. 10:24-25; Eph. 4:11-16; Acts 2:42-47).

Truth and Speech. We believe that truth is rooted in the character of God and that believers are called to speak truth in love. We reject false witness, deceitful speech, gossip, slander, and the spreading of harmful misinformation. Our words are to build up, not tear down, and to reflect the truth of God's Word (Eph. 4:15, 25, 29; Ex. 20:16; Prov. 12:19; James 1:26; Col. 4:6).

Biblical Justice. We believe that justice flows from the holy character of God and is defined by His Word. True justice cares for the vulnerable, defends the wronged, opposes oppression, and honors truth. It is distinct from political ideology and is grounded in God's revelation, not human philosophies or movements (Mic. 6:8; Isa. 1:17; Ps. 89:14; Prov. 31:8-9; Deut. 16:20).
